Underwater scuba diving gives super photo opportunities. The photos from Sipadan Island are the best. If you dive for pictures then your picture gallery will look nice since the best diving is around Borneo. Sipadan Island off of Sabah will give you the dive experience of life. If you fly to Indonesia then you must go to North Sulawesi. Lembeh and Bunaken are in North Sulawesi. The wall diving around Bunaken is the best on earth. On one dive I saw two green turtles and a hawksbill turtle. There were sharks all over! I enjoyed Two Fish Divers at lot. Eco Divers on the other hand was joke. The Divers at Froggies sucked. If you like muck diving then Lembeh Strait is the place to go. Divers Lodge Lembeh has the best dive masters. On a dive at hairball I took a photo of a Mantis shrimp as it killed and ate a ghost pipefish. If you want a dive site that you will see lots of nudibranks, frogfish, crocodile fish, mimic octopus and mandarin fish then the dive site or sites hairball and Jahir are the best. The wreck dive on the Togean Islands is super. The wreck is a B-24 bomber.

If you are looking for mantas then you got to dive Sangalaki. Take a look at my underwater gallery. Like I said Sipadan island has better diving then Sangalaki. OK you can shoot excellent photos of mantas around Sangalaki. The walls on Sipadan are almost as good as Bunaken. I have never photographed coral that nice on a scuba dive. I took my camera out of my BCD and took a photo of a blue ribbon eel but the coolest thing was the weedy scorpion fish next to it. Sitting on a starfish a harlequin shrimp was eating the starfish. Be careful because there are a lot of stonefish with the oceans strongest venom in the area. The venom of the stonefish is even stronger then tthat of the blue ring octopus. You might even be able to get some good underwater photos of seahorses. Erik Adler was a dive Master at Two Fish Divers 2004.

There are so many nudibrancks or nudibranchs around Lembeh for camera and strobe. All the photos will look good in my photo gallery. I got lots of pictures underwater black tip reef sharks and huge hawksbill turtles. North Sulawesi has the best diving for underwater photography. I even got some pictures and video of Mantis Shrimp and blue ring octopus. My photo gallery is the best on earth. I have some macro photos of mandarin fish too! If you go to Lembeh Strait stay with Divers Lodge Lembeh. On the wall dives I saw both halksbill turtles and green turtles. A there were sharks all over the place. On the coral there were nudibranks and seahorses hanging out. I got video of a blue ring octopus and of a harlequin shrimp as it was eating a dead ghost pipefish. The venom of the blue ring octopus is deadly. All the scuba diving around Indonesia and Borneo is good for underwater photography. As I was taking a picture of a Crocodile fish a Mantis shrimp killed two seahorses. The venom of the stone fish is the stongest venom in the sea. Not even the blue ring octopus has such strong venom.

This Weedy Scorpion (Rhinopias Frondosa) fish was found muck diving not far from Bunaken Island off of North Sulawesi. Could not even find a Rhinopias in Lembeh Strait or Sipadan. Next to the it was a mimic octopus and a clown snake eel. I was diving with Two Fish Divers at the time

Welcome to my world.
I spent five years of my life traveling none stop the four corners of the earth. From the jails of Egypt, months in India, the jungles of Kalimantan Borneo, surfing the North Shore of Oahu Hawaii, climbing the mountains of Nepal, the paratroopers of the Israeli army, I traveled to name a few. I had a one way ticket to China with Aeroflot hitch hiked etc. all the way to Katmandu by land. I still spend about three months of the year in the 3ed world. Indonesia has become my second home.
